Kenny's Creek Female Sale

On Thursday 1st October we held our 2020 Female Sale. A syndicate of Angus breeders joined forces to secure the $19,000 top-priced female.  The sale averaged $6,934 with a full clearance. It was a great sale and we were very happy with the quality of the buyers and the programs these females will go back into.

Gulf - FIAL Virtual Meet The Buyer

As discussed in our last newsletter, an important part of KC Natural's business is attending food shows around the globe. We have continued to broaden our markets with this style of marketing throughout 2020 and dramatically reduce our environmental footprint in the process. We are attending the FIAL Gulf Virtual Meet The Buyer meeting this afternoon, Tuesday 10th November.

What a Spring!

We are currently experiencing the most incredible Spring. After a relatively mild winter and 170mm of rain since the start of September, the country is looking absolutely spectacular. Lush grass, full dams and amazing new tree growth. You can almost feel the land exhaling with relief. A refreshing change compared to the past few years!

Record prices

Prices have remained more than bouyant throughout this astonishing season. In Bendigo last week first cross breeder ewes sold for a whopping $448. While on AuctionsPlus, merino ewes sold for up to $375, first cross lambs for $330 and store lambs $181.

Family fishing trip to Eucumbene Dam

Sam and family recently had a family trip away to the Covid friendly Snowy Mountains. The weather lived up to expectations and they succeeded in catching the only fish in Lake Eucumbene.

Summer weather outlook

  • According to BOM, summer rainfall is likely to be above average across most of Australia.
  • Daytime temperatures are likely to be warmer than average.
  • La Niña is underway in the tropical Pacific. La Niña typically increases the likelihood of above average rainfall across much of Australia during spring and early summer.
